Alison Carrington
Key Accounts Coordinator, NorCal

Alison is a culinary graduate with a lifelong passion for food and a deep respect for the environment. Shortly after graduating from the California Culinary Academy in 2007, she took a position in the kitchen at the Good Earth Natural Foods and discovered a personal and professional love for the natural and organic food world. It was around this time she also found out she has an allergy to wheat, and set out to learn as much as she could about her new dietary lifestyle. She created a line of from-scratch, organic, take-home entrees that featured lots of vegan and wheat-free meals, and learned all about the natural foods grocery business along the way. From there she moved to the bakery and helped expand their line of wheat-free and vegan pastries, all of which emphasized whole grains and natural sweeteners. In between all the cooking and baking, she channeled her fondness for administrative and organizational tasks into creating training programs for her departments, updating filing systems, and eventually acting as administrative assistant to the Kitchen Manager.
When she’s not cooking or fussing over the details of an Excel spreadsheet, you can find Alison out and about with her partner and their son, Clarke. In their spare time they like to play outside, grow fresh veggies in their garden, paint or draw, and be very silly. They live in Santa Rosa and share their home with two wonderfully sweet and lazy cats, Karma and Louie.
