Troy Taylor
Territory Manager, NorCal
Troy has been a part of the natural foods industry since 2010. During his preparation for his first degree black belt test in Tae Kwon Do, he grew more interested in healthy and organic foods. He got his foot in the door when he accepted the position as the dairy buyer at a small independent grocery store, Aptos Natural Foods. His passion and drive for organic foods grew as he worked in the store and had a chance to really learn about the people behind the products. In 2012, Troy joined New Leaf Community Markets and within the year was promoted to the position of grocery buyer. He was responsible for managing all aspects of the store's product mix, merchandising plans and broker meetings.
Troy's territory includes the Monterey Peninsula, up to the South Bay area of San Mateo.
Off the job, Troy remains active in the martial arts community in Aptos and has earned a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He also enjoys the outdoors by riding his mountain bike, disc golfing as well as participating in obstacle course races.
